Job Objective
The Catering & Events Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all catering functions and events within the hotel. This role focuses on generating catering revenue, managing event logistics, and ensuring exceptional guest experience for meetings, conferences, weddings, and social events while maintaining the highest service standards.
Responsibilities
CATERING SALES & REVENUE GENERATION
- Promote and sell the hotel’s catering services, banquet facilities, and event spaces.
- Develop proposals, contracts, and customized event packages for clients.
- Achieve catering revenue targets and maximize the profitability of events.
- Identify opportunities for upselling food, beverage, and event services.
EVENT PLANNING & COORDINATION
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including meetings, conferences, weddings, and social functions.
- Conduct site inspections and client meetings to understand event requirements.
- Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure accurate event details.
CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, and event organizers.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process.
- Ensure client satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
OPERATIONAL COORDINATION
- Work closely with Banquets, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Front Office, and Housekeeping departments.
- Ensure seamless event execution and adherence to hotel service standards.
- Supervise event setup, service, and breakdown when required.
TEAM LEADERSHIP
- Manage and train catering and events staff.
- Assign responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Ensure staff are prepared for upcoming events and functions.
BUDGETING & REPORTING
- Monitor catering budgets, costs, and event profitability.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates.
- Track event revenue and analyze results to improve future performance.
Requisitos
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in catering, banquet sales, or event management in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Experience managing corporate events, conferences, weddings, and social functions preferred.
